Great to meet you!
Hello! My name is Randee Luben. I completed my bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona (Family Studies and Human Development). I have a master’s from Arizona State University (Social Work). I worked in community behavioral health with children and families for 8 years before transitioning to medical social work. During my graduate program I was a high school counselor as well as an intern with the VA. I worked with children and adults with a chronic, life-threatening illness for the past 5 years. Simultaneously, I worked at an inpatient hospital for substance use and psychiatric stabilization. I currently volunteer with Make-A-Wish as well as the local Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. As a child and family therapist, I look forward to helping you and your children.
A bit about my approach to therapy
I meet my clients where they are, partner with them to set their therapy goals, and work alongside them to help them feel empowered to accomplish their goals. In weekly, 50 minute sessions, we will review the week, set an agenda for the session, dive into treatment, and identify skills to practice in between sessions.
What you can expect from our first session
I want my clients to feel valued, heard, and motivated to take a step in the direction of progress. We will get to know one another and set goals for future sessions.
